What we see here is a photo of a billboard depicting an image of [a presidential candidate]. It shows his eyes looming above a tree, and he almost appears to be staring at the camera. The ad is meant to be a critique of [the candidate] as there is text in the background that seems to be a quote from one of [his] speeches where he is making a reference to Silence of the Lambs in comparison to migrants in the US.

What is really happening here is an image of how normalized rhetoric like this has become in shared spaces in our communities. Although this billboard is intended to be a critique and is not at all in favor of Trump, it still is a photo reminding the public of his presence and what he represents, and is a jarring and unavoidable message to walk past when you're not expecting it.

To me this felt like both a literal and metaphorical representation of how everything that Trump stands for is literally constantly looming over the minds and lives of marginalized people like myself. While some people can walk by and be reminded of what Trump represents in that moment, for marginalized people, this is something that exists in our minds during every second of every day, especially with election season coming up so soon.
