I BOught this stone at [a fair] last week. The moment I saw this stone, I knew I had to get it. It was the first one that caught my eye. Being a part of the community myself, the rainbow symbolized the pride flag, which brought up a certain indescribable emotion in me. It made me so grateful to be in a country that allows me to be my authentic self without any fear. The black background felt like an indication of living a shrouded life and hiding your sexuality- which is what I felt when I was living in India.

The word "smile :)" above the rainbow, is like a beacon of light in the darkness, lighting up the room. It is bathed in innocence and tenderness, almost as if it was transferred from the soft little hands of the child who painted this stone. When I discovered that all proceeds from the purchase would go to charity, it simply reinforced my original intuition of wanting to make this purchase.

I bought the cute little handpainted stone, knowing that it was not only adding joy to my life, but I was also doing a tiny bit in helping make the world a better place.

Placing this stone on my windowsill was the first step I took in making my room feel like my own space. It helps me add my own personal touch to the room, making it feel like home. Every time I look at it, I smile and remember- it's the little things in life that bring you joy.
